It’s a busy month for our latest education projects which are all breaking ground in February. Working alongside TACP Architects and Davies Partnership, JPS is providing Civil & Structural design for the construction of 3 exciting school projects, all being built by Read Construction who have a busy couple of months of earthworks ahead of them.
Borras Park Schools, Wrexham
Earthworks have commenced at Borras Park Infant & Primary Schools in Wrexham. The remodelling and extension works will provide state-of-the-art teaching & learning space to the infant and primary schools and will allow a brand new Welsh Medium Primary School to be created within the site.
Meole Brace School, Shrewsbury
Excavations start on the retaining walls and base slab for this new two storey building, cut into an existing embankment which will provide additional teaching space in a stand-alone languages hub. Designed and constructed to Passivhaus standards and achieving BREEAM ‘Excellent’, this project will result in a highly efficient building that consumes very little energy and delivers very high levels of comfort for all users of the building.
Barkers Lane School, Wrexham
The site strip is underway at Barkers Lane School in Wrexham where extension works are planned to create additional classrooms as well as new external play and car parking areas.
