JPS provided full Civil and Structural design services for Kings Crescent, a £6m new build 5 storey steel concrete composite framed apartment structure, including mews house developments along with a subterranean carpark structure. This project also involved the installation of a contiguous pile retaining wall as well as alteration works to an existing redundant box train tunnel found on site.
JPS coordinated the Site Investigations and ensured timely discharge of planning conditions relating to drainage and land contamination through close liaison with the relevant authorities. The building is located on the site of a former train tunnel, so Jonathan and his geotechnical specialists undertook extensive ground investigations and designed civils works including temporary retaining walls and propping to allow the redundant section of tunnel to be excavated whilst retaining the remaining tunnel which supports the adjacent highways.
