Millers Place, Newtown

Project Info

JPS provided the structural engineering design for Millers Place, a residential development in Newtown, Mid-Wales. The building will provide 40 apartments constructed by MWP developments for Barcud Housing Association and provide affordable housing for the town.

Working alongside Hiraeth Architects, JPS carried out the structural  design for this new build development.  The highly insulated, reinforced raft foundations design are in line with the Passivhaus  requirements for energy efficiency. The superstructure is formed in timber framing and all construction details are in line with Passivhaus standards. The aim is to create a highly thermally efficient building, providing quality living space in the town centre.

This is the second Passivhaus certified project JPS has undertaken with MWP developments, click to read about William Ainge Court in Welshpool.
