Project Info
JPS provided full Civil and Structural design services for the construction of this new police station in Pendle for Lancashire Constabulary.
The substructure was designed incorporating ground remediation and ground improvement using concrete rigid inclusions to allow the structure to be supported off reinforced concrete foundations and a ground bearing slab. The frame, designed in steelwork, utilises precast plank floors supported off shallow depth beams to create a flat soffit and slim profile structural floor.
The main building is a 3 storey structure with roof-top plant space, with SFS walling clad in stonework. The scheme also involves the construction of a multi-storey staff car park, and associated external works and drainage.
