JPS provided Civil & Structural design services to Wynne Construction for this exciting redevelopment of Queens Buildings in Rhyl. The multi-stage development in Rhyl Town Centre is gearing up for a start on site in Spring 2021. The scheme as a whole will see the former Queen’s Market and nearby buildings transformed into a mixed residential, retail and night-time economy scheme, with library, events space and food courts. This will include development of an indoor market hall and flexible event space, with associated external landscaping.
JPS developed the full civil and structural detailed design package for this development which included refurbishment and conservation works to the existing Queens Chambers building and the construction of a new steel portal framed structure supported off a piled raft slab.
